SM Aviation is an Australian aircraft sales and aviation services company, based in Sydney, specialising in sales of private and business aircraft. We also have offices in Brisbane and a field office in Lancaster Ohio.

SM Aviation is not an air charter or maintenance company with aircraft sales as an opportunistic sideline. We specialise in sales and brokerage of business and private aircraft; in buyer's advocacy; in pre and post sale support; advisory and pilot training services, all based on the owner Simon Mathews' extensive industry experience and accumulated knowledge. 

Mr. Mathews is an active commercial pilot, qualified flight instructor and type-rated on many of the aircraft you'll see on our website. He commenced flying in 1976, his background is in aircraft sales, business aviation, charter and flight training, having worked for such companies as Cessna, EADS SOCATA and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Aviation has taken him to Papua New Guinea, USA, Asia and Europe and throughout regional and outback Australia. He has ferried aircraft from France and the US and provided support for many new owners.

Mr. Mathews remains an active company pilot and instructor and still flies a wide variety of aircraft for customers, he also flies sales demonstrations and heads the pilot mentoring program. He still equally enjoys however, taking a new owner on their very first flight.
